Chemical Peeling

Chemical peeling (superficial and medium) refers to an accelerated controlled exfoliation of the skin. The goal of the peel is to remove a predictable uniform thickness of damaged skin.

How it works:

Peelings carried out in our clinic are superficial (causing microexfoliation which may or may not be visible by minimal crusting) or medium (whereby the skin will peel for about one week). Peelings are done to improve skin conditions such as pigmentary disorders, acne, fine wrinkles, dilated pores, micro comedones, etc.

Procedure:

  1. Skin has to be prepared with depigmenting or exfoliating products for about 3 weeks prior to the procedure so as to prevent side effects. Proper sun protection must also be used pre and post peel.

Important Points:

  1. Sessions can be carried out every 2-6 weeks, depending on individual cases. Number of sessions required will also vary from case to case. Not every peel is recommended for darker skin tones.
